Azalees - Reservar uma mesa

On a chilly Sunday in mid-January we were very pleased to find a restaurant open for lunch in Tournon. Just a few paces from the railway station, this hotel restaurant gave us a warm welcome. I chose venison cutlets in a rich red wine sauce, accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes and vegetable purée. The meat was tender and flavoursome and the sauce was delicious. My wife chose a fillet of sole in an orange sauce, a new adventure that left her with mixed feelings. The menu was perhaps too extensive for a smallish restaurant, so her dish was probably largely pre-prepared. The venison had clearly been cooked that morning and was a good choice. If we find ourselves here again, we will ask which items on the menu were freshly prepared and stick to them. The carafe wine was of good quality and reasonably priced.

The staff is very kind. My room was a little small. But it was for work, just to sleep. With air conditioning, I didn't suffer from the heat of the night. I recommend this address to all my colleagues in the region.
