Awang Kitchen was delicious! It is highly recommended and we will return. Once the doors opened, an enticing odor of peanut sauce welcomed us in. We came to the table with different diets but were all accommodated. Two of us were meat eaters, one pescatarian and another a pescatarian who doesn’t eat gluten, dairy, corn or soy. We feasted! We ordered fried tapioca cakes (great texture , lamb satay, cold salad with dried fish, squid, tofu and peanut sauce, whole grilled fish with chili sauce, and steaming hot water spinach with quail eggs —the meal was accompanied by fluffy rice. For dessert we had three shakes: durian with sweetened condensed milk and ice (my favorite! , coconut milk with green rice noodles, and red coconut with black and white tape (fermented black rice and cassava , bread and avocado. The flavors were strong and rich and complemented each other nicely. Our waiter gave us recommendations that all suited our tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, I just wish we had had more room in our stomachs. Yum!!
