Auberge Les Tilleuls

We visited this place for one dinner during our boating holiday on Canal du Nivernais (3 couples). It was rather rainy evening and we were moored in Bailly some 3 km away. Our friends just returned from clinics after treatment due to small injury. We could not walk, so we called to the restaurant and the staff was very friendly and offered transportation. This was very nice and very much appreciated. The food was delicious, unlike other reviewers, we got nice big portions of turbot. However, the attitude of the owner was disappointment. He forced us to order dessert at the very beginning, saying that we must order two dishes at least. And one of our ladies asked for other side dish with her turbot, she preferred salad or vegetables. This was also a problem, and she got roasted oyster mushrooms with cabbage. Finally, the food was over-expensive, almost twice as much as at other places of similar quality.

This lovely restaurant along the L’Yonne was a great surprise on our way from Chablis to Vezelay. All the dishes we had with our group of 6 people, were simply delicious. We tried almost the entire menu and not a single dish was “médiocre”. Entire team of Alain Renaudin had contagious smiles which came as a bonus on top of Michelin level food and service. We just stopped for a glass along the river and ended up enjoying a full fledged lunch for 2,5 hours : A big thank you to whole team. Elinize saglik :

a hostel like you like them with local products and a special "market return" menu. We're looking for restaurants like that, we can't see it, but when we find it, we share it! and this is the case of this one, with an incredible atmosphere, the chef came to see us to take our order and discuss a little, it was nice! Prices are correct for work done on a plate, we eat well, terrace in front of the Yonne, what more? I'll give you advice without hesitation:

We visited last Sunday lunch with friends. The proprietor, Alain, is friendly, professional and welcoming. The food is classic French style, served in the traditional way by excellent waiters and waitresses. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant if you value service and excellent food. We visit this restaurant, for trip in Champagne and Chablis. Very cozy place, amazing chef, he spend a lot time with you. Food is very good, vine also. Highly recommended if you go there. And it’s working on mondays eve: Best wishes to chef, Alain! Let’s Disqueteq!
