Auberge Des Marronniers

Lovely courtyard setting for al fresco dining, very clean and great attentive service by the friendly waitresses. Our party struggled a little with some of the menu types being only in french, but with the help of the waitresses, the food that arrived was what we were expecting and the presentation and flavours were fabulous. Between us we had the baked mussels, the large garlic prawns and the escargot and we all believed our dish was the tastiest, when in fact they were all great. Local sourced wines from a Chateau we had visited that day complimented the fantastic feast.

Staying in Lanquais and this was the only restaurant in the village, but what a great restaurant it was! Excellent food, typical of the region. Small but well thought out wine list. Very friendly staff. Visited twice in a week, as it was so good and a 5 minute walk from the gîte

Someone recommended this place and we were pleased they did. Sat outside and had a great lunch. Definitely a favourite with the locals rather than being only for tourists, which is a good thing in this area!

Traditional wonderful French food!!! Perfect service, delicious and wine included! Unreal value at 14 Euros per head. Must book.

Very tasty French country cooking, good value and good service from friendly staff. Ate outside in the evening, no mosquitoes.
