Auberge de Py - Reservar uma mesa

We booked this Auberge to stay while trekking GR10. Our surprise was huge when on arrival we were told that they didn't put on their system our booking (booked via e-mail 1.5 months in advance and transfered the deposit) and they were full for that night. They offered to stay in Gite not far away (which was TERRIBLE - hard foam matresses, no pillows!). They still were ready to feed us dinner and breakfast and offered wine and beer and to wash/dry our clothes free of charge. Dinner was amazing - not communal as we were used to, but served individually and tailored to diet. The owners are a really nice couple and they did everything to accomodate us as best they could. As we arrived quite early and before the last group whose booking was obviously on their system, I believe we should have been offered the rooms.

Stopped in Py on a day out, up the mountain and found this place initially just for a coffee but was taken with menu so stayed for lunch . Everything was cooked fresh and had a different taste to it . It took some time to get our meal but it was only the owner cooking and there was other people as well but worth the wait . Will be going back there before the end of our holiday for another treat

I showed up here with friends one afternoon when the restaurant was technically closed but the host was able to prepare really delicious light lunch for us of local produce. The unfussy, very kind service and great food made for a memorable experience.

Stopped for a coffee after an uphill ride from Sahorre . SpecSpectacular views. Lovely spot. The owner serves fresh local produce. Very friendly. Worth stopping
