we had not used the restaurant for about 8 years, having not been impressed during our last visit. It's now a transformed place and we went there four times this year. It is a hotel and a restaurant but, being quite local, I only experienced it as a restaurant, so my opinion is on this basis. the place is in a charming rural setting but only 500 meters from the main road. there is a beautiful terrace when time allows it and the dining room itself is bright and comfortable. the owner is usually of service and serves as a sommelier. the wine house comes from a good local vineyard about 2 km (majoulière) and is worth it - both red and rosé. I didn't try white. the staff is very helpful and friendly without being too familiar. They're talking a little English. there is a good choice of menus and usually a menu of the day among which you can selectively choose if you want to mix with one of the other menus. Candy is good. the macarons of the size of a hamburger are a special treat. it is a comfortable restaurant in a pleasant setting with pleasant staff and good cuisine. it does not pretend to be a restaurant as refined as the round-table, but it is definitely one of the best restaurants in the region.

We went there by chance, the previous negative criticism was false. It wasn't! there was no atmosphere and the staff seemed very young and inexperienced. We had a terrible bottle of local wine from the nearby area that looked like vinegar. the menu was a return to the 1970s, i.e. melon to the porto, almond trout and white-eat. Has life not evolved? We decided to opt for the more expensive fixed menu. the salads were soft and not appetizing. I bought better in a supermarket bag. They were drowned in a strong dressing. the inputs seemed to have spent the previous 24 hours in a cooling unit waiting for someone to order them and were cold in the refrigerator. The bread was stale and had been warmed with so much enthusiasm that we were burned! actually left the entrances half eaten and fought with the staff, and finally left without paying.

I went there on Monday night and I ended up being the only people present (3 of us). but really delicious food, good wine, with a choice of prices (always a little exaggerated in france knowing how much they cost from the local vineyard, but a bottle at 24 € was very pleasant) and friendly waiter, good caring service without feeling that we were observed or pressed. I'd definitely go back to another special occasion. there was the menu at 39 € that offered a good choice because, basically, you choose your 3 dishes from the main menu. I think it would also be an ideal place for a big party because they will leave it to you in exclusivity (but probably not in high season).

interesting menus, combination was encouraged and food and service were a delight. even spontaneous water for dogs was offered.
