Aspects At Macdonald Aviemore Resort

Starter: it was tasty but was not as described. I had the goats cheese option and it states on the menu it is with candied walnuts, these were no where to be seen and were definitively required for texture on the dish. Other than that both starters were good. Main: unfortunately my chicken was as dry as old boots! It was inedible. I did return it to the waiter and nothing was said about it or whether I’d like something else. When we were presented the bill nothing was deducted to show they even acknowledged the return of the meal. Grudgingly we paid. I then noticed after studying the receipt that every price was way more expensive than advertised on your website. This was enough for me to now complain. I spoke to the girl at the till and she did deal with it in a great manner. I was refunded for my chicken dish and she explained how the website has not yet been updated to show the price increase. Overall: staff, lovely. Meal: somewhat disappointing

The atmosphere was awful! I felt like I was in the Twilight zone, no music, too large a restaurant for the amount of people using it. It seemed most people were there on the package deal so very little effort was put in. We were not staying at the hotel and the food on the menu did not stand up to the price charged. It was pretty cold but seemed there was no point complaining as the staff seemed very uninterested. I returned a bottle of coke as it smelt and tasted cheesey, weird I know, but the waiter just laughed and replaced it. Certainly would not return.

Haggi's starter was nice. Beef shiny head was tasteless. The service was pretty bad, no one checked if we wanted a second drink and almost all the other tables were busy with milling. Dessert had to remind the waitress that it should come with pistachio ice cream. Won't return

Staff very professional and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious especially the chicken dish. Only little thing that could be improved I thought was a wider variety of hot drinks at breakfast, perhaps a coffee machine. Overall very good and we hope to visit in the future.

Had a lovely meal here with our little boy. It was great to have some delicious ‘grown up’ food whilst my son indulged in fish fingers and chips. Service was also friendly and efficient.
