This restaurant is not family at all. They don't have high chairs for children, they give you an unpleasant look when you tell them you don't need a child menu for babies 12 months and 2 years. Besides, they charge you for the food they don't allow you to come home and I'm not talking about their buffet. I'm talking about the main dish you pay. They'd rather let you waste the food instead of bringing it home. Maybe their plan is to serve it to the next client... who knows! The reason we couldn't finish our meals was because our two babies didn't want to stay without moving and we tried to leave the restaurant so we wouldn't disturb the other customers. Unfortunately, when we tried to explain this to the waitress and the owner, they didn't care. In addition, food in this restaurant is not terrible and certainly not traditional Japanese or Korean (more Chinese than anything else). Try Sushi Mey or Yumi sushi if you are looking for a more authentic Japanese experience, better quality food and better service. This restaurant is not family friendly. This restaurant, to which I have been several times, has proven outstanding each time in the food, the friendly and attentive staff and the very reasonable prices. The sushi and other Japanese food seems authentic (I'm not Japanese! and the generous servings are attractively presented. The barbequed sticks of meat and fish are fresh off the coals; the huge buffet of both Japanese and European starters has unlimited crab sticks, fish balls and fresh shrimp, as well as three kinds of seaweed salads, among many other lovely fresh and deep-fried items, as well as soup. There are three flavors of Japanese ice cream for dessert but their mocha and chocolate liegoise are so delicious I look no further. I seldom go to Perpignan but if I must, I always make an effort to be in their neighborhood at lunch or dinner!
