Angelic Sweet Shoppe

We attended a repast luncheon for a dear cousin at Braddock’s Colonial Room. The hall was beautifully appointed and roomy. We had a Buffett of salad, broccoli, fingerling potatoes, pasta in a tomato sauce, chicken with mushrooms ahi tuna with a wasabi sauce. The food was tasty and abundant, the service attentive and friendly. The bar was quick and efficient, I wish I had asked the name of the white wine that they served, it was excellent. Thank you Braddock’s for a wonderful repast.

I am surprised that people rate this tavern down because of unavailability of seating and discount everything else. During the Covid mess, we visited this tavern and they did the best they could with seating; however, the food was very good. It's best to go in the mid-Spring or early-Fall when the temperatures go down and around non-peak hours. We'll be back in the Fall and pick a time when seating won't be a problem.

I love visiting colonial era taverns, especially in the fall and winter when it's a little brisk outside and warm and cheery in the tavern. We sat at the bar and had delicious fresh briny oysters on the half shell and an equally delicious cheese board. Lunch was amazing and the service was friendly and fast, don't understand some of the reviews that say otherwise. Can't wait to visit again.
