"This restaurant serves tapas and drinks and we enjoyed a pleasant time in the bar after one of the Sunday night concerts in the house. It’s worth visiting here to see the fantastic old country house, its courtyard garden and some relics of the past. It’s a short taxi ride from La Paz and highly recommended for a taste of old Tenerife."

We visited last night (family of 4 for the flamenco ballet performance and arrived early to have a drink or 2 before the show. The staff were extremely friendly and our waiter sandy with his Scottish accent was just hilarious. Kids thought he was so funny calling their dad jimmy . We had some wine and a snack of cheese and ham from the menu. It was delicious and very reasonable. The gardens, mansion and view were breathtaking. Now for the flamenco show....very intimate setting, world class performers and amazing atmosphere. My 12 year old daughter was mesmerised the whole way through. A definite must do while in puerto de la Cruz. We walked up from apartmentos Casablanca and it took a long time (nearly 40mins! it was my own fault as I had misread the directions. We also walked back down after but didn 't take us as long and we used a different route.

We had birthday dinner for 4 persons. We already knew that nice old Manor House and now they had started the restaurant business. But we were little disappointed with food and restaurant´s furnitures. The food was not bad, but very average. The indoor furnitures were same as in terrace, plastic chairs in historic milieu!!! On the upstairs there are lot of suitable furniture to use downstairs too. Also there are lot nice decorations which could use in this new restaurant. The milieu was as poor as the food. The place is really fine but needs some indoor architect to work.

Mt wife and I ,plus our two adult daughters, stayed at a local villa over Christmas and New Year and ate at Abaco on two occasions and the food was very good, plus excellent service and surroundings. On the second occasion we also booked seats for the Flamenco Show and this was quite amazing. Four top professional dancers produced a range of outstanding routines, together with repeated costume changes and a seamless production. It was top class Flamenco at its best, you will not see better anywhere. Highly recommended.

Had heard about Abaco so while spending last night out before tomorrows flight back home we decided to take a look how they manage with fish. Fillet of cod in Canarian style with aioli bread tasted so good that this restaurant got the best points in our two week long fish menu survey. The house itself is worth visiting, not only food or music performances there. All three together makes it one of the top places in Puerto de la Cruz.
