"Without advertising nix? If I hadn't seen the noticeable advertisement last week, I wouldn't have known that there is a restaurant at Hotel Alexander von Humboldt at all or again. The design in red and yellow is a matter of taste, the effect obviously as desired, at least with me. Some private parking on the door, a big plus point for restaurants in Vallendar, and right on the B42. The hotel is well-known, formerly had its own good-bourgeois restaurant. Now, for about a year, service, that is an Italian who has 5 or 6 in Vallendar. One step to the entrance door, behind it more approx. 6 steps, the next door goes up towards stairs, for an individual visitor already dangerous, for disabled even more dangerous, for wheelchair users impossible. Arriving in the guest room, one stands in front of the shiny bar, dark wood of the same and the tables, white and black are the covers of the chairs and diner benches. They are comfortably padded, I find them a little too deep. The tables are economical covered with spread napkin and set up napkins made of paper, candlestick yes, correct, no cemetery laps, and a flower decoration made of plastic/substance. The statements of the homepage at prices and offers at midday are in need of overhaul, the identification of the lunch offers is desirable. There are 3 different dishes daily between about 6,50 € and 8 €, each soup, main dish and salad, also on Mondays. The normal map on the internet seems to be up-to-date and offers the standard program of an Italian in the usual price range, only beef fillet is above €20. Salad, 4 standard pannini and soup appeared at the same time after a short time. The tomato soup was hot, fresh with small tomato pieces, of good fruity taste. A piece of the rolls was enough for me, so they taste everywhere, I would rather have fresh baguette. The salad did not look so fresh, slightly tired, but not completely slapped, consisted of 2 varieties of salad, mouth-cut not format tent, as so often and corn with an interesting dressing based on cream, self-made I would say. And, of course, the standard deco, consisting of the tomato and the slice of gurke, undamaged. Is that someone? Then came the pizza that looked small on the normal plate. Estimated diameter at about 23 cm. Soil thin, dough a bit in the direction of grape vinegar, properly occupied as that belongs in Germany !? . Salami dominant, mushrooms clearly in the background, could have been out of the can but, it has tasted. No negative incidents in the guest room, toilets not visited. Conclusion: Actually, I liked to return, even if I didn't feel the great kick, proper performance at the Italian in a modern ambience."
