I ordered two pizzas and some other small bits for delivery at 18:45. It took about 5 minutes to explain what I wanted, and even more so to get the address across. It took 3 attempts to get the phone number understood, and it appears that they got it wrong anyway. Trying to get the female to comprehend the time of 1845, or quarter to seven was a nightmare, and she kept getting it wrong. At seven o'clock, no pizza, so I phoned again. They had sent the pizza to no 106, although I had told the woman 1 FIVE 6, repeated several times. The manager, whose English was pretty poor then re-took the information, and I couldn't get HIM to understand 156 either, and eventually he read it back as 165. I repeated the number in English, Welsh, German, Russian and Polish, before he repeated it wrongly again. I found myself losing my temper, which I try very hard not to do. Anyway, eventually, we got the food, and I have to say that it was pretty good, and plentiful, but this branch is using entirely the wrong staff on the telephone. May I just point out my profession? Formerly, a Radio operator, trained in the art of clear and concise communication. I shan't bother wasting my time, in the future.
