After drawing a blank at different places in Derbyshire I was lucky that Graze had a spare table when I turned up about on Sunday afternoon without a reservation. The restaurant is very modern and split over two sides with the small bar area inbetween. All the waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. I chose the half rotisserie chicken Sunday lunch option. I didnt have to wait long for my food even though the restaurant was fairly busy. Most places can cook meat and the chicken was lovely with a tasty marinade but the main difference between an OK meal and an excellent meal is the quality of the vegetables in my opinion. Often vegetables are bolied and bland but mine were fantastic. Oven roasted carrots and small squares of oven roasted turnip, red cabbage cooked in cider, buttered greens and roast potatoes, with a huge yorkshire pudding. A nice glass of temperanillo was a lovely accompanyment. Cost was very good and unfortunately I didnt have time for a pudding because im sure it would have been just as impressive as the main course. I cant recommend this restaurant enough for Sunday lunch and I would definitely return next time I stay in Sheffield, only this time I would make sure I booked a table to be certain of eating there.
