Beautiful décor and very professional restaurant manager Karina. I got into an exchange of emails with her regarding the reservation and she was very keen to help by responding promptly and usefully. The food is sophisticated while still allowing you to taste the ingredients; sometimes, with such complicated dishes, everything blurrs into a blob of taste. Adam is clever and I love the fact that his dishes remind us that we live in the glorious North West of England! This part of the world has an identity which we cherish and which he managed to infuse in his menu. I also like the fact that he came round and had a very friendly chat with all of his customers. The margins on the wine are a tad excessive. Apart from that, just brilliant!

my partner and I had the initials menu last night and it was not disappointed. every cure was delicious, including brot and butter! there was a sort of tasty snacks before the meal and we split the “Golden Empire”, so though we are both very hungry, we were both full and satisfied after the meal. all the drinks have composed the food very well, we had the wine flight with eating and a cocktail before. the venue was intimate and tasteful and the staff were all very professional. would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

what a great experience that was. eating was amazing from start to end. the apple dessert was one of the best desserts I've ever eaten. every dish was well thought out and at the end I was absolutely filled! everything was finished with a thoughtful touch of a signed menu to celebrate my graduation party. I would definitely recommend it.

we had the tasting menu, about 17 courses. we sat at 19 o'clock and went at 23 o'clock. the workers were all fantastic and very helpful. it was a late 80th birthday present for my wife. it was paid by her sister, family and friends in the Swiss. we were not disappointed. please give our thanks to all the staff to make it very special. chris and dorothy massey.

my partner and I went here with a friend and his wife to make the menu of the taster. his wife is gluten intolerance and they have gluten-free options for it. this was a ten-year meal with each court and each court is presented and served the highest standard, the häuptlinge speak them through everyone who explains how and what makes the court as they serve them. obviously, every dish bite size, but full of taste. we also paid for wine pairing including the non-alcoholic option. both are quite expensive, but they have chosen very nice wee to fit any dish. the non-alcoholic was very refreshing, a mixture of fruit drinks. I was very impressed, it was a special tasty definitiw. I would go so far to say if this restaurant was in london and not sometime it would be worth michael star.

Had a fantastic night at The French. The staff were incredible and made the meal and wine pairing that much more special. Alex one of our servers in particular had a great chat with us and explained what the food was. We had a culinary journey from start to finish there was just too much. The staff kindly packed up the desserts for takeaway and we tipsily stumbled home! Thank you again!

Luxury vibes, food was nice too. Not sure if it’s authentic French food, would say it’s rather more English
