the old wellington inn is one of the historical places (built in the xvi century) where the most important commercial transactions were carried out in the city of manchester. It was the birthplace of john byron, one of the revolutionaries of the British phonetic system and miraculously it was one of the few historical buildings that did not suffer damage to the bombings during the Second World War, which caused the entire Manchester centre. This makes the visual characteristics of this place contrast with the modern city center in 1948 the building was declared a monument of the city of manchester in part of an excellent selection of beers of the area, the place is decorated with quite drip, and we were surprised the quality of the food and the price, for nothing absurd considering that it is in the center of the city (in the back of the cathedral) and of special sombre of the same waychi,

Quintessential Old School Manchester. Meatcake and fish and chips were so good. Enjoy sitting outside in the sun with a pint.

Just one of my favorites. Great cakes, fish and chips and good service. And tuned with a guinness, it makes so much better.

Had a brilliant beef pie. The old pub has great history and atmosphere.

We were lucky to find a table upstairs, next to a window. The place was atmospheric and welcoming. The service is very kind, smiling and fast. Both dishes we tried were very tasty, carefully prepared and attractively presented. Loved the lamb pie! Everything went perfectly until we left completely satisfied and we thank them very much for the beautiful evening! We hope to have a chance to visit it one more time before we leave Manchester!
