large cocktails had booked a table a little early arrived no problem was set immediately. the mad hadr cocktail it was fun was £21 for two people. the food was well presented and tasty the menu is varied, so most taste directions, inexpensive eat. the atmosphere is good even though I thought the music was a tad noisy when you chat. the personal comfortable helpful and attentive, but not hastened. I would definitely return, even if there are only some for the cocktails.

we went out to breakfast on Sunday morning and found our first choice postponed and our second choice had a snake out of the door. frustration soon became a very pleasant surprise when we had a look at the menu of an orte famous for cocktails, but not so much for eating there was a lot of choice at a reasonable price, so we went in. lit. breakfast of the first class, beautifully presented and accompanied by great coffee and freshly pressed orange juice! much better than the breakfast we would have at our first or second choice, both very good!

it's been a past since I've done my last Thanksful Friday post. I had some very sad realizing at the beginning of the year and I didn't really feel like compiling a list of happy things, so I decided to take a small break from these contributions. I now come back to my direction and have decided to get rid of the dinge by hosting the beautiful jasmine lucky link-up this week! it postes them weekly and it is a great opportunity to remember and thank you for the little things that happen in life. this contribution is not only about the last week, but last time more an update on the life: ROME-ING

Well, Tom and I decided it was time for a road-trip. We packed up our bags and jumped in the car and set off from Liverpool to one of our favourite cities Manchester. We checked in at the beautiful Townhouse Hotel which is right in the city centre and provides the perfect base for exploring the city.

The ‘Japanese Ramen’ came with a choice of meat or prawns. I went for the duck version, which contained a generous amount of tasty sliced duck in a meaty broth with noodles and oriental vegetables. My only complaint was that the menu offered ‘Mild’ or ‘Hot’. Naturally I went for hot but there was zero heat in the broth. Luckily it was tasty enough not to bother me too much but it could’ve been even better with the promised heat.

This weekend, I met up a few friends for brunch and we decided to try The Alchemist on New York street. I love a good cocktail and rumour has it, that this is the place to go to for a cocktail that’s out of this world. I wasn’t going to miss out on that was I? Yes it was 12.3o pm on a Saturday but so what? It’s never too early for a cocktail! I like the relaxed ambience at the Alchemist. It’s not too pretentious and it’s not your average burger joint either – its just about right for a laid back brunch at the weekend or for drinks and some grub after a long day at work. It’s sophisticated yet relaxed without trying very hard to be either and I love that about this Living...read more

Let's start with a confession. I don't really like The Alchemist. I don't imagine I'm alone in this view. In fact, the thought of giving my patronage to any of Living Venture's establishments rarely crosses my mind. If that sounds harsh, I don't mean it to be. We all have different tastes; The Alchemist simply doesn't press my particular buttons. This is no reflection on the staff (most of whom do an excellent job), rather on LV's aesthetic and attitude. Hangovers are like an amplifier to bullshit; things you might ordinarily overlook become irritating. We are sat near the entrance, directly behind the host, which makes us feel a little uncomfortable, as though any tiny criticisms of the...read more
