we were very excited to try this new place that seemed so inviting from the road, they sat us immediately and we were one of only a few parties there. but because we were some of the only people in the restaurant, we got our first round of drinks not up to halfway through our main course (after a full round of appetizers) and we were not even offered water in the meantime and I could not get anyone the attention to ask for it. because we have so few people in the restaurant, we were clearly ignored for the great Christmas party that we could hear in the ground floor room that had sent tablet by drinks to them before our three cocktails arrived after minutes. When they finally arrived, the drinks were very good, but they don't wait. the food was usually delicious, the bisque caabe appetizer and croquettes were great, and for the pornstar we all had the plate of the day, a slowly baked bark dish that was delicious. everything was good again until dessert when the cream robe we were served, oil was pooled into the floor and seemed to separate, I tried to eat it, but it was really not edible. Overall, it was a very disappointing night, and it should be a graduation party that I mentioned in our reservation and was not mentioned or recognized at all. we will probably not return.
We came for a special family dinner and were left a little deflated. Initially our table reservation wasn’t there, to then be told we were due at 5pm instead of the 7pm (which had been confirmed via email . This got sorted and shown to our table. Starters were superb, but sadly the mains were not on par. We ordered 3 rump steaks, and 2 out of 3 were incredibly salty, to the extent that one of them was uncomfortable to eat. We notified the waiter of this and he offered us complimentary coffees which none of us wanted as we were having dessert. However Dennis (maitre d’ came up trumps by offering his apologies and securing complimentary cocktails at the bar. Dennis made the whole experience better by going the extra mile for his customers. Overall we had a great evening, but left a little disappointed with the food, especially as the name associated with the hotel is so high.
A new season means a new special menu at Harvey Nichols; this time it was three courses and a cocktail for £22 so Kate W.

We wanted champagne as a bit of a a celebration, and we thought where better.
Eating was shockingly badly burned veg burger, linguine was cure and it was all classified without real effort. the waiter was great. there was a big party right next to us who were so loud that we couldn't talk to each other. terrible vision.
we loved eating and the personal. really delicious soufflé and steak. the main handle was that we booked the table for and it was not ready until that said, the rest of the evening turned out and there was the possibility to have a drink before. the personal was beautiful and attentive. atmosphere is great, and beautiful decor. I would have stared if not for the delay in the table.
