I visited Aster for afternoon tea, just to try something different, and brought along someone for their first tea experience.
I liked the placeGreat decor inside and fantastic serviceFood was a bit unexpectedI was told it was Scandinavian and French but it was not.
Spur of the moment decision, we tried Aster as I is near our office! It was nice but no dishes blew my mind.
Beautiful restaurant and staff were very attentive and helpful. Disappointing that there was only vegan option on the menu for each course.
Most enjoyable first time visit to Aster. The staff were attentive, professional and friendly and the set menu was particularly good value. The wine list was extensive with some very reasonably-priced bottles on offer. I shall definitely return.
Lovely meal, slightly slow on the drinks service but other than that great. A beautiful restaurant love the decor.
I was amazed at how close they packed Wednesday nights diners when there was a half-empty restaurant. Can you tell me why you would do that when social distancing is So important? I was also surprised that they had not taken a lead in making or even asking the staff to wear masks. I did ask to be moved and your lovely lady complied, one of the other diners agreed it was all too near. I love this place and I am disappointed that I feel that you don't care about the safety of customers. You are supposed to be at the Top of the heap yet every coffee shop seems to have staff who wear masks and distance themselves. Perhaps you should rethink policy I sent this to them directly , They obviously did not read my comment properly and brushed of my concerns
Lovely venue, and staff. Food ok⦠but a would expect better for the price range. Looked great but not lots of flavour.
