Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time.
As always the food and service is impeccable, such a great experience, and it was the first time as a family versus a business dinner. Just make sure to get reservations well in advance
we had a late afternoon reservation and sat immediately; our waiter arrived quickly to take our drinks orders. he was pretty abrupt and didn't need time to tell us about specializations. the Caesar salad was very good, but my escape from kalbsalclops pizziaola was very mediocre – a piece of kalbs with cheese on the top drowned in red sauce and a few roasted baby carrots (also drowned in red sauce).) this was regrettable as I had previously had many excellent meals in toscano. While there were many empty tables in the restaurant, we felt hastily to go — not a good experience.

Maybe one of the biggest surprises I had. The restaurant feels like a fine restaurant, but the width of the menu with a variety of offers at competitive prices certainly explains why a reservation can be difficult. I hate to use the term value with such a beautiful place, but the ambience, food quality and amazing service were amazing given the menu prices. Overall a really nice experience.
An excellent restaurant in every way. Unfortunately, reservations made using Open Table are limited. I quizzed management asking why Open Table could not make a reservation at 5:00 PM and indicated the latest availability was 4:30. I walked into an empty restaurant with only a few seated tables and was disappointed because we had to change our plans. I was told to call the restaurant directly the next time.
I was very much looking forward to my return and Toscano's White Bolognese and it did not disappoint. My Boulevardier was perfect and we four split apps of the meatballs (conveniently four and golf ball sized) the beef carpaccio with truffled oil (for a very reasonable price) and our server Erick (wonderful and knowledgable) recommended the chickpea app as well. Besides my bolognese, there were these delish soft-shelled crabs (in season, August). The bottle of Nebbiolo was the perfect accompaniment.The 2pm reservation allowed the meal to serve as lunch and dinner and the restaurant was just perfect.
