I loved the 3 cheesecakes with salad and new kartoffels. my friends had the fish chips and the curry and were also very satisfied with their meal times. friendly personal and welcoming atmosphere. a great eating and meeting point for everyone. we arrived at 4 o'clock and a complete menu was still available. visit us.
celebrate nan and grandad's 90th birthday. accompanying for beautiful Sunday meal and family time in the back room afterwards. the staff was helpful and cheerful. we had a good time.
all Sunday we found outside of sitting and were served very quickly. the roast was delicious with very generous portions of veg, meat, roast, yorkshire pud and gravy. it costs something more than other places, but fair in consideration of the quality of food. great stop on the way to home even after a long walk on the moors.
great food and drinks, as well as great service all cheap! my friend and I made a sandwich. had grilled cocktail roll and all the rolls were so light and fluffy! cider wasn't bad! lattes beautiful! good parking. this is a good piece!
Good country inn serving real ales and the usual lagers. Sunday lunch needs to be booked in advance due to its popularity but they will fit you in if they can on spec. There is the farmers/small side bar, very cozy in winter but limited space. The main bar is comfortable and well behaved dogs are welcome. The last time we visited was for a Sunday lunch which was OK but some of the the veg was overdone and soggy. Had better previously but it was not bad enough to cause a stir. In good weather there is plenty of outdoor tables. Walkers and cyclists are often seen in summer. Would have been 5 stars but for the veggies last time. Still worth a visit.
Lovely place to stop for a meal. Glad we booked as it was really busy which is good to see. Lots of outside seating as well as cosy interior. I had a lovely cream tea with gorgeous, warm scones. My lads had the huge handmade burgers really enjoyed them. Friendly staff lots of free parking. Thank you
