went there recently, nice position in nice area, sat outside and service ok, had a three for £25 menu but not great, so had from main menu, £32 for sirloin steak which is high, 4 starter £13,50 each, so quite expensive and not in London etc but glasses of wine, my wife just order a rose or blush £13,50 on bill and other wine £11.50, seems expensive to me and bill was £200 for four with minimal drinks, to me a lot of money for lunch, but food was nice, just pricey

Delicious from start to finish. Yorkshire puddings with mini beef roasts inside next level scampi to start along with a tasting board of whitebait, panka prawns, cheese scones and diddy sausages in honey and mustard. All was impressive but have to say that beef was arguably the best tasting and best cooked I’ve ever had on a Sunday, in my life, in the works, ever. Bravo the bladebone, 1st class food, 1st class service.

This used to be one of our favourite pubs but I can’t help but feel it’s gone downhill recently and our past couple of visits here we’ve been left feeling disappointed. The food isn’t quite what it was and the service during our most recent visit was a little sloppy with long waits. It’s a shame but after giving them the benefit of doubt on a couple of occasions, we won’t be rushing back.

Now able to say: consistently excellent. Two further brilliant lunches and a delicious evening meal. The atmosphere, the service, the food, unfailingly dog friendly. Couldn’t fault it again. Please let’s keep supporting local so places like this don’t go!

Really enjoyed our visit. The staff were great,atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious and good value. Would certainly recommend and will visit again when next in the area.
