Previous visits have been fantastic so as we were in Sussex we checked opening hours on TripAdvisor and drove over. Really disappointed to find it shut. On further investigation it’s now an AirBnB.

Great little place. Such a good location for beginning or end of walks. You can eat in or take sandwiches away. We had absolutely wonderful sandwiches and they didn’t scrimp with the fillings. Our friends had cheese scones which again were great. Very friendly service too!

I called in this lunchtime looking to get a drink and snack within minutes. Despite being very busy and clearly this being a somewhat unusual request, I was made to feel genuinely welcome and received excellent service throughout, with my food order (Whitebait) arriving...about minutes after ordering. Very impressive

Good food and good decor and garden. Feel extremely comfortable in this pub. Its one always use in summer and winter too for their log fires!!
