Dinner At Six

Had the loveliest meal in a really relaxed setting, all 3 courses were delicious, we all said we have to keep coming back until we have tried everything on the menu. My one bit of advice would be to maybe not serve the wine on the menu next to where you can buy it on the shelf as the mark up is just looking you in the face.

Staff shortages due to effects of staff isolating due to covid. Only one member of staff front of house and one waitress. No huge delays considering the staffing levels. It was quite busy. Meals were fine accept chips were overcooked. It wouldn't put me off...a return visit as we feel things would be better without the pressures of staffing issues caused by covid. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

We telephoned the Hotel at 11pm after being on the motorway for several hours due to accidents on the M5 and arrived there at 12.45pm. The staff came outside to help us with our bags as we had a toddler and baby with us and were exhausted. We cannot thank the owner and the staff enough for all their help and for making us so welcome.
