the garlic, thorny and truffle soup was devine. Unfortunately, the vegan steak thought was a bit bland and blah, but the suppe was so good that it was to fill such big shoes. breakfast in the morning was nice to eat many vegan tasty
this was one of the most original and tasty vegan meals I had. the vegan steak was fantastic and the staff was so friendly and accommodating! highly recommended.
one of the better evening dinners I had on arran as a vegan. the menu had several marked vegan options. the Brazilian curry is solid, but the vegan steak (which I think there is some kind of VWG bean combination) was particularly good and comes with a vegan pfeffer corn sauce. several nice vegan desert options also included sticky toffee pudding and blancmange. the bistro is a pleasant place to eat and the staff was friendly and helpful. make sure that they present to avoid disappointment (yes beautiful)
one of their chefs is vegan and you can absolutely say with the level of creativity. the beetroot hummus and vegan feta sharing board was great. the vegan steak was very nice, but without the pepper corn sauce it might have been a bit bland. the sauce was amazing. they even had vegan ice cream and were happy to make a little vegan affogato on the fly.
