old pub, the wetherspoons have restored well. they have kept a lot of the old layout, so there are about 5 separate rooms and a small beer garden . pub was quite quiet when we visited, but found it hard to find a table. since tables were not deleted or cleaned were also ordered to dine and drinks on app. eating came quickly after 20 minutes, but could see how drinks wait on the bar for 10 minutes, so eventually went and got them themselves
I wanted something for filling after a day along the wye valley, knew what we got and for the price-performance ratio they can not beat, a few meal times and drinks plus pages for 15 pfund. we had a few times before during our visit. during the drinks prices were unbeatable, a beer and wein for under £4. eating was normal what we had expected, we know someone working in a spoon where we live, so that not large portions have frilled what we wanted this day. at several visits during our stay tables were unclearly left a little disappointing seemed not a lack of personal. the building as with most spoons is stunning, beautiful and spacious in general clean with taking some tables as mentioned, beautiful outside area.
good choice of beer etc. very cozy in there. eating was okay, anyway, it's cheap filling. Bar staff very helpful. pretty clean. large bedroom, but at the front was a noisy in the late night sounded like someone was throwing...furniture around one. then 5am of street cleaners with flashing amber lights. room was however clean comfortable.
I called here because of a short drink while I woke up the city. faster bar service, but the tables were sticky and felt like they had not been cleaned one. has not been insulting with food, as it did not look the best.
It is a typical Weatherspoons. Several,offers on each day. You get what you pay for. It was very noisy, so did not want to hang around when we finished.
Stayed for 1 night and hardly slept as there's a noisy generator running all night outside the window of room 101. Wouldn't stay again due to this. Beware!!!
Worst weatherspoons I have visited it was cold I think they had the air conditioning on we had a meal and it was disgusting cold food undercooked steak all our food was cold will not visit here again
Lovely room. Room was spotlessly clean. Easy check in , staff friendly and approachable. Would stay again.
