The Balti Bhujon

I had a large family gathering and opted for a take away from the Balti Bhujon on the strength of its reviews. As this was a very large order I visited the restaurant and pre-paid in full for the following day. To say that I...was disappointed would be an understatement. The food was cold and had to be reheated. The sauces where thin and watery almost the consistency of soup. The onion Bhaji’s were small flat and flavourless. The meat in the mixed starter was hard,dry and overcooked,in fact it was inedible and most of it was put in the bin. The Cheese and Garlic Nan bread which I specifically asked for was ommited. This was possibly one of the worst Indian meals I have experienced. I did call and speak to the manager the following day and made my complaints to which he acknowledged but it was apparent from his replies that he would rather not be having this conversation. Very disappointed and underwhelmed and definitely not be going back.

Last night I went with my son and his fiancée after maldon tandoori to eat a birthday meal. as always were eating and service first class. To be honest, I wouldn't expect anything less. as family we go there, since the restaurant is open, I don't know how many years. jhual and the team have taken it to the level of fine restaurants and I would highly recommend the place. thanks jhual and all the staff for a crisp evening.
