Absolutely amazing. Always visit here when I visited my grandmother and we always eat here for lunch. Doesn't look much outside, but DON won't be cheated. The food is absolutely beautiful and the staff is all family and super friendly. They always remember my G'Ma and ask how it is, etc. and they update it to their son and daughter. The food is always consistent and simply fantastic. Large portion sizes and their lunch meal deal starter, main, dessert and drink from the deal menu) is brilliant value £7.30). Can't judge high enough.
We visited Desaru on a 1 night stay in Hull after consulting where to go. We made the right choice! Do not condemn this restaurant to the outside. Although it looks a little dated decor wise, it is nice and cozy inside, clean, neat and the staff are friendly and helpful. All foods were made clear fresh, very filling and generous portions for good price. Do not expect that the reasonable prices mean lack of quality or quantity it exceeds in both. I would recommend this hidden jewel to anyone looking for delicious Chinese food. If we visit Hull again, we will definitely return.
Meals here are delicious. The set menu at noon is very cheap. 3 courses and soft drink from £6:50 to £8:00. Can't go wrong. Come on.
I give this restaurant 5 stars for its friendly atmosphere. Relaxed, informative and open a genuine traditional food. I call it a little China in Hull. A long family heritage is over, but unfortunately the last one in the line will come to an end to this small piece of Asia so soon. Patience is a virtue to book, but this is all part of tradition. Trust me, I heard the answer phone in native tounge, I thought it was confusingly funny. I wouldn't expect again. But enough about my memory it is secretly and cozy to feel like a small family around. Good memories. Five.
Not much to look at from the outside, however the food here is fantastic. Probably the best Chinese I've eaten. The owner is a real character. Would definitely go back!

They are friendly to us. Nice foods, reasonable price. The decoration is very Chinese. However, I personally think the taste can be improved to be closer to actual taste of China and Malaysia
Really sorry to the owner, who was ever so friendly and polite, but, although I'm hardly a connoisseur of Chinese cuisine, I've just experienced perhaps the worst meal I've ever had the misfortune to pay for. Frozen vegetables, frozen meat and everything tasted bland. I know Sunday evenings can be slow but there's no excuse for microwaved food. No wonder there were so many beeps coming from the kitchen! Worst of all was the horrid, pungent smell occasionally wafting through the room really unpleasant and made me want to escape as quickly as possible. If you really fancy a Chinese meal in Hull, you should avoid this place at all costs. £50 I'll never get back.
