this is a nice pub with table service! they take reservations that are not always easy in the pubs in london. they were excellent. they even offered my father a drink on the house in the law, because his eating was delayed. that was great. we liked it so much that we came back two days later for Sunday roasts!
the duke of clarence is another fund in kensington, london. I can't believe I found a bar with a real fire to relax in front of the door. the clenches are especially in the late twenties to late thirty and as such the atmosphere is great. I ate a vegan burger and my buddy ate a sirloin steak. we both liked to eat, but we liked the table service especially. well done! highly recommended.
wonderful pub. great atmosphere. we had sunday roasts and hamburgers. Sunday roast was beautiful, much taste.
beautiful pub near gloucester rd great food, good ambiente, very attentive staff and beautiful decor. we regularly go there and are never disappointed, a good stop for lunch or dinner or just a drink when they are in the opposite.
The Sunday Roast at The Duke of Clarence was delicious! It’s so hard to find a pub that serves roast beef thinly sliced and medium rare. On top of that the service is great, especially Emma who was very helpful and bubbly. Will definitely be back, highly recommend!
Entered the pub by a friendly door man he was great crack . Then the bar man gave us a menu got a great seat and the relaxation began great food great drinks great pub
Had lunch at The Duke of Clarence today with a friend and her two granddaughters (who can be picky eaters). The staff couldn’t be more helpful and all the food delicious. I have visited several times over the last ten years with various friends and the staff have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful; the food always just as ordered and perfectly cooked; and the drink just right too. In a big city it is rare to have such consistently high quality. Thank you !
Nice staff, nice interior. Only slight let down is the view of the screen isn't always that great with the pillars beside the bar, all of the ales were off, and the burger I got tasted a bit charcoal-y. The kind of taste you get from a grill that needs a quick clean. Altogether fine though, I would happily go again.
