this is a nice pub with table service! they take reservations that are not always easy in the pubs in london. they were excellent. they even offered my father a drink on the house in the law, because his eating was delayed. that was great. we liked it so much that we came back two days later for Sunday roasts!
the duke of clarence is another fund in kensington, london. I can't believe I found a bar with a real fire to relax in front of the door. the clenches are especially in the late twenties to late thirty and as such the atmosphere is great. I ate a vegan burger and my buddy ate a sirloin steak. we both liked to eat, but we liked the table service especially. well done! highly recommended.
Had lunch at The Duke of Clarence today with a friend and her two granddaughters (who can be picky eaters). The staff couldn’t be more helpful and all the food delicious. I have visited several times over the last ten years with various friends and the staff have ALWAYS been friendly and helpful; the food always just as ordered and perfectly cooked; and the drink just right too. In a big city it is rare to have such consistently high quality. Thank you !
Nice staff, nice interior. Only slight let down is the view of the screen isn't always that great with the pillars beside the bar, all of the ales were off, and the burger I got tasted a bit charcoal-y. The kind of taste you get from a grill that needs a quick clean. Altogether fine though, I would happily go again.
I ordered lunch which was supposed to arrive at but it never did! I paid for it and I never got the food nor the money back. I called the restaurant three times and they promised to deliver me personally but they never came...over. I was waiting for it and two hours later, because I called again I found out that the restaurant was already closing and not planning to deliver my food anymore. Nobody from the restaurant called me to let me know. Terrible service, the restaurant do not assist you in any matter. I paid for it and I even did not get my money returned either. Honestly I think this was really disrespectful. I will never order at Restaurante Sabor Brasileiro again, and it makes me question if I should keep ordering through deliveroo. Probably not
Food cooked from a Sainsbury's frozen ready meal (the staff carried in Sainsbury's bags while we were sat at the table), and wine that costs online charged out at per bottle. Not quite what we were looking for on Gloucester Road...
laughable arrogant amateur run by stupid students. we were happy to find this restaurant as promised to feed us with authentic raw vegetarian means of life. we sat and were duly ignored for about an hour around us a table with older Arabic/medium eastern customers talking family matters, but I could not notice a coffee or tee or food at their table. on our right side, at the window, the man uses his computer (yes, they have free Wi-Fi, but also he is not drinking or eating and does not seem interested in eating any of their drinks or dishes. do we have a kind of free internet cafe? pity, we have left our laptop in the hotel as we were able to skip our friends in mailand.<br finally came a waiter and I ordered zucchini pasta and black coffee and my friend beetroot minutes later our food and coffee came. the zucchini were splodgy, so I mean that it was heavy and sticky with pesto and the rocket. the court as a whole was dry, it was hard to chew, I felt that it should have been fed to a cow, the coffee was cold and it too was tasteless it was probably sat on a counter for minutes and there was a suspicious glamour on the cup rim. I forgot to mention her musak, which I believe was developed to torture the Guantanamo inmates.
Very ggod overall!. Had dinner with a couple of friends and really enjoyed everything. The menu was diverse and different and service was very good.
We stayed in the bar for a few drinks after dinner and had a great experience as well with a couple of cocktails to the mix.
Will be coming back soon
