had simply a renovation and changed administration so I thought I would try. was really impressed by the modern facility and the sortiment of the beer. good fast service, was not too busy, clean. comes back in definitiw. highly recommended. ps, the new owner is a bit. a way to see past the ears
we came to wales to celebrate birthday. we left everything a little late and when I called all the restaurants around where we were (Betws-y-coed), they were all full on Saturday night. we called this place on the ground and the dame was. so kind. they said they were booked, but we could come along and if/if a table was released, we could have it. So we took the chance. so glad we did. the pub was nice. really good choice of beer/sales. we have a table w shortly after we arrived. eating was amazing. I had the lamb (it is really a whole shoulder..enorm...melt in mouth, although as I managed to, all my bf had the pepper pots bark meat, which had a big ginger fuck, our two cumpels had the steak and ale pee and the salmon. we all enjoyed everything! really great worth. dessert wise, the sister of my friend had the pears. a local (even the motor cyclist we really enjoyed chatting, it had recommended), it was delicious. my sticky toffee pudding was a bit overdue, but pleasant. the stylton and the harbour of my friend were disgusting! creamy stylton and smoother port. the service was so friendly. the dame behind the bar was happy to chat. gareth was also such a nice, friendly guy. at the end of the night we all decided that this was the perfect sound. I loved it!
Came here monday and tuesday this week. The pub is fantastic, its cosy, warm with a real fire and has very friendly staff. We came here as a family and played pool, watched the telly and ate free fruit loaf. It is a wonderful little...pub in St Asaph and will be brilliant in the summer with it's vast beer garden out the back. Thanks for making out visit to north wales memorable
nemo fish and chips in llangollen is an excellent chip shop. the fish I had was really good fresh juicy fish and the teig was really delicious and light. the chips are very good and the burgers are really delicious. I would recommend that you visit llangollen to nemos for her lunch they will not be disappointed
wow! what a fantastic place rui and michelle have here. we were the first guests of the evening at 5 30 o'clock on Saturday and michelle and rui were the perfect hosts. as someone else has abandoned their assessment, it was like dinner in their best friend home michelle explained the menu and the food we ordered was fantastic, we had the lamb alcatra, rui pica pau and the seafood rice between 2 of us....There were enough food to feed 4 and the taste and textures that I can not praise very well enough. for dessert we had a chocolate and caramel shortbread and a chocolate mousse, both homemade and moorish. the Portuguese house wine was very cheap at £7 for a small jug that made them 3 very large glasses full and was of decent quality. rui also gave us free glass port to “wash the meal”. the restaurant seating arrangement is very quirky and is one on own faust. I can't recommend this place if they are in the environment and want delicious homemade Portuguese/Welsh food. many thanks to rui and michelle that they share their experience with us and hope that they have many successful years in the old wives tales. tony andrea (ramsbottom)
