I wasn't sure if I was to write this review, but I must be completely honest. we used to visit (pre covid) here for the Sunday menu and we have always assumed that it was not only an excellent value for money, but also decent portion sizes. we decided to book here a special birthday meal for three people on Saturday night. Of course, we expected the a la carte menu to be more expensive, but I did not expect that the size of the portion to be affected. the food was beautiful from beginning to end. only beautiful, wasn't worn by him. my only grip is the tiny portion size compared to the money they charge, and then on a service fee above (not something they expect in ramsbottom). the drinks are also more expensive than some restaurants in the inner city that I don't want to pay for a meal (which is with the super careful with the drink spirit), but I came away feeling a little torn off. sad, portion sizes alone have ever returned me, even for the sunday menu

as we are always looking for new restaurants, came over the hungry escape, as it was recommended. a small bistro on the main road of ramsbottom, it is a cozy little place, but never felt claustrophobic. the service was very good and the personal acceptable. the meal for 2 courses is £18, so they have set the prices over right, £22 gets them gloomy too. to eat! my wood scarf (locally shot, had a piece shot to prove it) with black pudding and beetroot was perfectly boiled, pink and playful. The red wine sauce and rhabarb koulis are a perfect game. sues mushroom risotto rich and creamy with salt dotted it was rich and delicious. the meerbrahm with spinach-mash potatoes, delicate trunk broccoli was light and tasteful, the added goat cheese added another dimension. sue just went, a huge baked wobble and cheshire cheesecake with a side salad. Of course, I had to finish it, the baked was of the best I tasted and full to the crispy with melted cheese. the deserts looked beautiful, but we had our fullness. .... next time maybe

first visit today for my mother's birthday. I can't praise enough. Being vegetarian and fighting in the rule to find something that appeals on the menu was pleasantly surprised to find that exceeded my expectations. defo would recommend and may not expect to visit again. new apartment. personal very friendly.

food and personal were beautiful. small, uriger place in beautiful city, a real hidden gem. try the latest addition to their wine menu, a beautiful English white, definitely recommend. the dining room times are a little funny, so call in advance when the first time. think they open to dinner at 17 o'clock and stop serving at 19:45 o'clock. parking on the main street or, there is a parking space on a small next street directly opposite the restaurant.

We came to The Hungry Duck for a Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We had the sourdough for starter which was lovely and the Rhubarb dessert was also great. The interiors decor is lovely and the staff are very attentive and friendly too.

What a lovely place. The staff were very polite and helpful without being obtrusive. Every course was a delight. I particularly enjoyed the cured salmon. My fellow diner adored the chocolate mousse.
