Prebooked table. On arrival we were shown to the tiniest table. Staff were professional, pleasant and helpful. I had steak pie and my friend had texan chicken melt. The plates took up the whole table. No room for cutlery at the side. The beef with the steak pie was lovely, the pastry was flat with no crispness, peas were hard (not birds eye brand) and carrots had a 'tinned ' texture. The chips were nice. There was very little chicken in the Texan melt however it was very very tasty. I would recommend the steak pie and chips but no veg.
Excellent food and service, can't fault any of the staff as they were all friendly and helpful. The food is of fantastic quality and the portion sizes won't leave you feeling hungry.
After a few misunderstandings with our order, all was well afterwards. Staff attentive and willing to assist. Chicken stuffed with haggis, very tasty and a huge portion!
Fantastic wee place, whether you're going in for a lovely meal or just for a few drinks in the pub. Always made to feel most welcome.
