Had a weekend to enjoy myself so wow did I made the right Choice what pub to choose ! From the moment I walked in on Friday to visiting Saturday and Sunday and was so welcomed by many friendly customers and Bar staff so attentive and professional , Emma and Harriette Tom etc….. The bands are still going to make this pub still awesome atmosphere and well done on Gavin for being a great DJ too! Thanks to Brian and Val for all their hard work to making this pub great again
Brilliant atmosphere away from the town centre so it's more traditional than the usual chain pubs. Strong connection to Veterans and their charities and a great place to find support for those from a military background seeking help with all aspects of life. Traditional ales along with some modern ones like Madri and Guiness of course. Traditional Sunday lunch on Sundays.
A welcome always awaits. Sponsors of local Armed Forces Veterans Branch. Good social activities. Friendly host and also has music nights. Well supported pub. Nice pint of Guinness.
