Called here for a few beers recently whilst in the area for the weekend, nice beer with a good atmosphere and friendly staff, also does food although we didn't eat here, appears to be a busy pub at weekends and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area,
We stopped in for lunch on 28/6/2018 my partner had beef pie chips and carrots the pie was drowned in gravy and the carrots where out of a can I had chicken and salad the chicken was so dry and tasteless very disappointing.
Stopped for one drink only. Had a few people propping up the bar who looked a little worse for wear but I suppose it is a bar although it was 3pm.
Great grub whilst in Cockermouth. Everyone was very friendly and easy to talk to which I do like in a local pub :
