Taberna Del Mar

We called in when we arrived in the resort, looking for somewhere near to where we were staying as it was getting late at night and here was the first place we came across that was open. We didn't fancy a large meal as we were all tired and just wanted something to eat quickly. The four of us ordered the following, one steak, one burger and chips, one chicken wings and chips and one portion of mussels. The meals were nothing outstanding, quite bland in fact, but as it was getting on; 10pm, and we had a very early start the next morning we just ate it, paid and left for or beds. I don't know if it was because of the time of night or because we ordered what we did but the waiter seemed bored and couldn't be bothered he had gone through explaining all the large shared dishes which were the speciality of the house even though we told him we wasn't wanting them early on in his speech) so I don't think we would eat here again.

We went there as a couple for lunch. Apart from the service which was very nice, the food was very very bad. The entry, the calamars were totally tasteless, the fideua was very salty and the desert (crema catalana) very bad. A real shame because the restaurant is very well situated.

Had a tapas lunch here. Quite expensive compared to similar places nearby but food just average. No fresh boquerones, which is disappointing for a restaurant offering tapas. Service ok. Will not be back.

Maybe it was because it was raining, maybe we were not in the mood, maybe it was something else but anyway. The service and food was absolutely nothing special.

we have eaten here on numerous occasions, the food is always very good. Slow cooked shoulder of lamb , grilled vegatables particularly good. great value
