Had my meal ruined by the counter girl to day because of her bad attitude and inability to control ONE order !! I was the only customer at 4: 07 Pm Feb 17 th and the first problem was when I friendly noted that the tomatoes looked a few days old ..... the bowl had only the ends of the tomatoes and maybe one big ugly slice of tomato.... nothing I would feed anyone!! In my experiences with restaurants that want to keep in business, that would have been the clue she obviously needed to do her job and refresh the bowl with something that looked edible. However, all I got was " they are cut fresh every day ". Well maybe they had not been changing the bowl then and I am glad I did not get any of those nasty slices... even though I let her know I would like to have some but not THOSE . So I got no tomatoes that I paid for because of her laziness or stupidity or maybe she was just having a bad day , even though she had just started her shift. BTW, they added fresher looking slices for the next few people that came in after me..... why could I not get tomatoes on my burger?? ( not slimey old looking ones ) When I was given my order , my fries where cold ..... even though they had to cook some just for me. Apparently the three people working at the time could not even get one order right for their one and only customer! Then to make matters worse, this bad attitude female had this response to my complaint of cold fries , " I just made them ". then with " attitude ", threw them into the garbage on the way to get the fry person to make another order.... while complaining about my complaint to her co worker , as if I did something wrong!! Pretty bad service and NOW I had to deal with a cold burger !!!!! I did not dare to complain about that ..... I am sure she would have blamed me for that too! Is it so hard to train these workers to wait until the burger is at least half cooked before you drop the fries !? They do not stay hot long under the warming light and I still cannot believe her attitude and will turn around and leave if I see her there again. Three people cannot be that stupid can they?????

Harvey's has potential for being one of the best fast food restaurants value wise; they just need to put in more money to the chain. I ordered a hot dog combo (I won't eat their burgers because they make me sick), and there was nothing bad about it, it just wasn't good. I felt like there wasn't anything special about my hot dog. Harvey's is one of the cheapest fast food restaurants to go to (besides Taco Bell), but my food didn't feel like $5.99 + tax. I probably could've gone to the local grocery store, picked up a pack of hot dogs, cooked them on the barbecue, and there would be a strong resemblance to the hot dogs I made and the ones made at Harvey's. There were other little things too. The onion ring batter would fall off and the restaurant doesn't do much else than flipping burgers and hot dogs. The service was also very slow. They weren't busy, and it took them 5 minutes to make my hot dog, and an additional 3 minutes to get everything ready. I'm very glad it's cheap, however, I would rather spend a bit more money elsewhere to get food that felt special.

Recently got take out here for three. Used to find the veggie burgers good but now they are starting to taste tired compared to what I can grill up on my barbecue. I know Harvey's is a small Canadian chain so they don't have the resources to make their restaurants up to date like McDonald's and Tim's, so take out is the way to go here.

Fast food is fast food, yet it's neither fast nor food. Harvey's is really expensive, their food is not much better than the cardboard you get at McDonald's and it's by no means fast.Service is poor but hey at least it's a nice building I guess!
