We arrived as a party of 6 to an overcrowded waiting area, stuffed with people waiting to be seated and waiting for takeaways. It was ridiculously noisy and very claustrophobic. One waiter barked at us to ‘go wait over there’ as we were in the way, but there was literally no room to move without being in someone’s way. Not a good start. Once seated it was still incredibly noisy, but the service improved. The food was nice but not spectacular, just such a shame about the lack of welcome and the noise levels. I think this restaurant is a victim of its own success, there’s little competition in the area, they don’t want to turn people away but the result is overcrowded chaos and waiters who are stressed out, and it shows!
Pleasant venue with a good range of food. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday evening! There is a good range of food on the menu and really clear descriptions of ingredients and how spicy things are. We had a range of starters which were all good, the lamb chops and onion bhaji were lovely. The naan breads were really nice, would recommend the cheese and garlic one! The mains and rice were all really good, we got a lot of food! Tucked away in South Milford it is a bit of a surprise but it is work a visit!
Took the wife for a surprise birthday meal with some of our children and had a fantastic night, On arrival the restaurant was full which is a good sign,there was a good atmosphere in the place, We had a table behind the bar which was perfect,the staff were amazing,we had a good laugh with some of them which made for a great night, The food was full of flavour and very nice, All in all a great night thoroughly enjoyed by all
We ordered a takeaway to be delivered to our local pub. There were 7 of us and we all had a different order. The food was piping hot, delicious and on time. The balti sauce was outstanding (did I detect fennel? Will definitely be back. Thanks very much Cumin Lounge
