This restaurant serves the worse Chinese food I have ever had. if you are unfortunate enough to be staying in Cleator and fancy a Chinese, think again. Everything was so greasy and disgusting it was barely edible. The locals seem to like it but I guess they have never eaten anywhere decent. There is a yellowing news clipping by the bar suggesting their glory days are well behind them. The decor is a revolting pink colour and the service is terrible. If it was possible to give a lower score I would.
Not what I was expecting. Drab interior with paper table cloths. Mains cost around £8.50 when combined with a good rice also at £8.50 I’d expect a little bit better on the decor details. The food was ok, no wow factor. When looking at the TP reviews my expectations where high, the reality was low. And on that, I’m resigned not to try the others if this is considered to be so good.
I have been coming here for years and never had one bad word to say. However the last two times I have been I have been sent away with warm food. The rice was rubbery on mine and my partners dish and the curry sauce it's self,well let's just say if I wanted tuff prawns I would have went to Iceland. Please stop making your food and the reheating it. It's horrible and not even hot.
Had a lovely takeaway here while on holiday in the area. Modest looking place from outside but the food was delicious and the service friendly. Recommended.
