Conca d'Oro is a small, no frills, authentic café that features great coffee (espresso and cappuccino) and tasty snacks with friendly service at a very reasonable price.The crowd is mixed, those around the coffee counter, the tables viewing soccer events and a few tables towards the back that are usually occupied by card players.Lots of historical photos garnish a whole wall.Sign of the Latin American connection of its owner, the empanadas (stuffed pastries) are a delectable snack you don't want to miss out on.The place is clean, has free wifi and a pleasant atmosphere at all times.
We were first brought here by an Italian friend specifically to get this wonderful pastry (Sfogliatella). They bake them every hour. They are very nice anytime, but it's worth holding out for a batch that's still warm from the oven. Yes, the coffee is good and the staff and patrons friendly. And sometime I'll have to try other pastries, but for now I'll just repeat...Sfogliatella!
Best cold coffee in town, and best coffee. If you are looking for a quick pick me up with a snack here is the place. Love their grilled cheese sandwich and their chocolatines. OH and their calzones.
I like the decor of this place. Great for friends or couples. Has one of the best coffee on town also there pastries are fantastic. If ever your in little Italy. One of your stops should be here.
