Meson La Placita

Simply our favourite local restaurant that can be relied upon for traditional tapas and raciones. The meatballs are uniquely huge in the most wonderful sauces. The croquetas would take a lot of beating my sons won’t let me order them anywhere else! Best of all is the professionalism and respect with which Miguel and his team treat the food as well as the customers. The sleepy hot tranquil square comes to life in the summer evenings when the cooling breeze picks up and the food and drink flow merrily. Enjoy!

Our second visit to Arcos and indeed to Miguel's place where we were greeted fondly by all I think it was down to the fact that I have started learning Spanish and was communicating (or at least trying to! which makes all the difference. Again, the food is excellent and so is the price at a lovely clean establishment that compliments the neighborhood.

Easy to find yet quietly situated. Unassuming restaurant serving Spanish dishes to mainly Spanish families. Jugs of icy Amstel and proper Spanish Fayre. Very good value for money , excellent service and great atmosphere.

They serve a decent fino in half bottles if you fancy a few glasses. Good choice of tapas freshly prepared. The service is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is local.
