El Callejon De La Plaza

Stopped here for dinner after sightseeing to find the kitchen does not open till 8pm, however we enjoyed a really good bottle of rioja whilst waiting and we were not disappointed. The lamb chops and chicken breast were perfectly cooked. Centrally placed in the Plaza España, it also has outdoor seating (luckily under cover as it was raining). The serving staff are friendly and efficient so well worth visiting.

Had two salads and two beers which really filled us up and mine was out of the ordinary. The Mussell and Elvers (baby eels) salad €9 and Tuna and Pasta salad €8 were simply brilliant, huge and very very filling. Beers were only €1.60 each and great. Really will visit here again as some of the other food coming out looked great.

We found ourselves in Plaza de España and stopped here for a glass of wine. Service was lacking as in slow and disorganised. Seemed typical of plaza de Espana . Poor service and higher prices but you can watch the world go by....

The food was very good, we both had pasta dishes. The service was excellent and we had our meals within 15 minutes. I recommend this place, it has had some poor reviews but our experience was great.

Great place to have tapas and watch the world go by. Spoke English and made us feel welcome. Lovely being on the square especially during the fiesta that was going on.
