We tried the combination dinner last night for €12 per person. This is really a café bar rather than a restaurant. Unlike other eating places, it is open most of the day. The owner was very helpful when I tried my broken Spanish. He explained the dishes as best he could. The gazpacho (tomato) soup was pretty much tasteless. However, the chicken second course was substantial for me — see the photos. The ensalada bocacha had lots of lettuce and tomato slices. The calamari was good. A small loaf of white bread per person, and bottled water are included. Each person also gets a choice of desserts. We tried the ice cream with chocolate on top. It came from a distributor and was quite good. Altogether, a good meal for the price. Check out my reviews of other places in Merida as well as in Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, several cities in southern Spain, South America, Southeast Asia, it’s OK, Australia and New Zealand.
