We came to have a look at the view from the top of Kahlen Asten. After walking along many of the great paths we went inside for a spot of lunch. Downstairs there is a cafeteria, so self service. We decided to go upstares to the restaurant. Quick personel came to take out order , we both had Stramme Max. The food was good and the views to the south side of Kahler Asten beauteful.It annoyed me that we had to pay to park, eventhough if you paid for the whole day, the restaurant will give you 1 euro refund.We did not try the dinner, but it looked good on the menu. Rather expensive, though.
we have a look at the view of the top of the bare. after the walk along many of the great way we went inside for a place of lunch. in the ground floor is a cafeteria, so self-service. we decided to go to the restaurant. fast personel came to order, we both had stramme max. the eating was good and the looking out on the south side of kahler asten is beautiful. it annoyed me that we had to pay to park, even if paid for all day, the restaurant will give them Euro refund. we didn't try dinner, but it looked good. but rather expensive.
This restaurant is located on Kahler Asten “mountain” 842 m altitude. There is quite big parking area beside the restaurant/hotel.We had a nice warm cup of tea with a delicious piece of cake (apfelstrudel). The don’t serve outside on the terrace(self service) which was not an issue.The area is superb, a lot of walking tracks departing from the restaurant, beautiful nature.
